Data Center includes a persistent top navigation bar that gives you quick access to connected apps, account settings, and your profile from any page. This article explains what has changed, where to find everything, and how the updated navigation works.
What Has Changed
Two things are different in Data Center after this update:
The top navigation bar — A persistent bar now runs across the top of every page. It replaces the previous top bar and includes an App Switcher on the left and your profile menu on the right. Your left-side navigation remains exactly as it was.
The Settings page — Account settings have moved out of the profile dropdown and into a dedicated Settings page with its own left-side navigation. Settings are now organized into three groups — Account, Integrations, and Products — making them easier to find and navigate.
Where to Find the Navigation Bar
The navigation bar appears at the top of every page in Data Center once you log in. It is enabled by default and does not require any setup.
How the Navigation Bar Works
The top bar contains three areas:
- Help & Resources Button - access our help articles and support team
- App Switcher — lets you open connected MMI apps
- Profile Menu — accessed by clicking your name or avatar
App Switcher
The App Switcher lets you navigate to other connected MMI apps without needing to log in separately.
To use the App Switcher:
- Click the App Switcher icon on the left side of the navigation bar.
- Select the app you want to open.
- The app will open in a new browser tab. A loading indicator appears while the link is being prepared.
If your account is not linked to the destination app, you will see an error notification. Contact your administrator if you believe this is incorrect.
Requirements
The top navigation bar is available to accounts with an active Bonzo CRM connection. If you do not see the navigation bar, confirm that your Bonzo CRM integration is connected under Settings > Integrations > Webhooks.
Profile Menu
The profile menu provides access to your account, settings, and navigation preferences.
To open the profile menu:
- Click your name or avatar on the right side of the navigation bar.
From the dropdown, you can:
- Navigate to Settings
- Switch to the legacy navigation layout
- Change your Theme
- Log out of your account
Settings
Settings have moved to a dedicated page with a persistent left-side navigation. All of your existing settings are available — they have been reorganized into three groups.
To open Settings:
- Click your name or avatar in the navigation bar.
- Select "Settings" from the dropdown.
Settings are organized as follows:
Account
- Profile — first name, last name, NMLS, email, phone
- Account Details
- Security
Integrations
- Connections
- Webhooks
Products
- Pathways
Select any page from the left navigation to view and edit its settings.
Switching Between Navigation Layouts
If you prefer the previous navigation layout, you can switch back at any time. Your preference is saved to your account and applies across sessions and devices.
To switch to the legacy navigation:
- Click your name or avatar in the navigation bar.
- Select "Switch to legacy navigation."
- The layout updates immediately — no page reload required.
To re-enable the top navigation bar:
- Open the profile menu from the legacy navigation.
- Select the option to switch back to the top navigation bar.
Summary
The Universal Navigation Bar and updated Settings page bring a more consistent layout to Data Center. Use the profile menu to access your settings, switch apps, or adjust your navigation preference at any time.
FAQ
Will I lose any of my existing settings? No. All of your settings have been moved to the new Settings page — nothing has been removed. The fields are the same; they have been reorganized into the Account, Integrations, and Products groups.
What happens if I see an error when switching apps? This typically means your Data Center account is not linked to the destination app. Reach out to your administrator to get it connected.
Does my navigation preference apply to all my devices? Yes. Your choice between the top navigation bar and the legacy layout is saved to your account and applies across all browsers and devices.
