The Lender Comparison Tool brings Dashboard's lender comparison functionality directly into Data Center, making it accessible right from any Lender's FastFacts profile. With a single click, you can run a side-by-side analysis of two lenders across origination volume, rankings, geographic mix, and top-producing loan officers.
How to Use the Lender Comparison Tool
1. From the sidebar, open the Mortgage drop-down and select Lenders. From there, search by lender name or NMLS in the main search bar, or select a lender from the quick-list table below.
2. Once on the lender's FastFacts profile, look to the top right of the page next to the lender's name. You'll see a new Lender Comparison icon directly alongside the Google search icon — click to launch.
3. The tool automatically pulls in the NMLS of the lender you're currently viewing. In the search drop-down, type the name of the lender you'd like to compare — matching results will populate as you type. Select the correct match to generate the comparison.
4. By default, the tool displays the trailing 14 months. Use the reporting window selector at the top of the modal to switch to 7 months, 30/60/90/120 days, previous quarter, year-over-year, year-to-date, or previous year. Changing the window refreshes Key Metrics, Production Volume by Month, Snapshot Mix, and Top States Snapshot.
Note: The Top Loan Officers card is locked to a trailing 14-month look-back and will not update with the reporting window.
5. The modal surfaces five cards, each showing both lenders side by side:
- Key Metrics — National rank, state rank, regional rank, production volume, and transactions.
- Production Volume by Month — A color-coded line graph with production volume on the Y-axis and the selected time frame on the X-axis.
- Snapshot Mix — Pie charts breaking down transaction type (purchase, refinance, other) and loan type (conventional, secondary/subordinate, other). Hover over any segment to see exact values.
- Top States Snapshot — represent the lender's share of its own transactions (by unit count, not dollars) that occurred in each state — i.e. share-of-lender, not market share of the state.
- Top Loan Officers — Trailing 14-month production from the LO roster. Click any LO to jump directly into their FastFacts profile, or use the link at the bottom of the card to view the full roster by lender.
The Lender Comparison Tool puts competitive intelligence where you're already working. Every loan officer surfaced in the comparison is one click away from their FastFacts profile, so insight translates directly into action: faster recruiting outreach, sharper lender conversations, and better-informed strategy without ever leaving the page.
