The Home Search feature in MMI Data Center provides licensed loan officers with instant access to a personalized and branded home search experience that you can share directly with borrowers.
With Home Search, you have two flexible sharing options to meet different outreach needs. For one-on-one engagement, you can send personalized magic links via text message or email by simply entering a borrower's basic information—each link is unique per borrower and includes temporary authentication that automatically logs them in without requiring any account creation or password setup, allowing you to track their engagement behind the scenes. For broad marketing, you can generate a public Home Search link with a custom URL suffix (e.g., pathwayshome.com/DanLawrence) that maintains your LO branding and pre-qualification information but does not include authentication tokens, making it perfect for posting on social media, websites, or email signatures where it will be shared with multiple people.
How to Access and Use Home Search
In the top-left area of your Data Center navigation bar, click the "Home Search" button. This opens an embedded landing page directly within MMI without navigating away from your current workspace.
Note: if you don't see Home Search please first contact your organization's administrator before reaching out to support@mmi.run.
After clicking on "Home Search" you'll see your embedded landing page with two distinct options.
Option 1: Visit My Home Search
Opens your personalized Come Home search site in a new tab so you can preview exactly what borrowers will see. Browse through property listings to confirm that your photo, name, company, NMLS ID and your pre-qualification link appear correctly alongside each listing. This preview ensures that when you share the link with borrowers, your branding reinforces your position as their trusted partner throughout their entire home search journey.
Note: if you are missing any brand elements mentioned above, you will be first directed to setup before proceeding to Come Home.
- Get Pre-Qualified: directs to your pre-qualification or application link (see setup below)
- Request Tour: directs to a landing page with your contact info. This allows you to keep the prospect in your eco-system and hand them off to a preferred partner.
Option 2: Share My Home Search:
Opens a modal that allows you to share your personalized Come Home search site to prospects with a unique link (more on this below).
If you plan to use Home Search frequently, you can pin the Home Search card to your dashboard for quick access. Click the pin icon to save it to your workspace, and it will remain available across all your sessions.
Home Search Info
As mentioned above, when you click on "Visit My Home Search," the system will check for required profile elements including your name, NMLS ID, organization, profile image, and pre-qualification link. If any elements are missing, you'll see the Home Search Info Modal with options to complete your setup.
When the Info Modal appears, you'll see an overview of Home Search's value proposition and a preview of how your profile card will appear to borrowers. You have three options from this modal:
- Continue to Home Search - Proceed to the Come Home site even without completing your profile setup (the system will use established fallbacks for any missing elements)
- Share My Home Search - Open the sharing modal to generate and send a magic link to a borrower
- Finish Setting Up Your Profile - Complete your profile customization to ensure your branding appears correctly
If you choose "Finish Setting Up Your Profile," the Customize Your Experience modal opens, allowing you to provide or update your profile information in one place.
Enter or update your first name, last name, phone number, email, profile image (upload), website URL, and pre-qualification link. As you update each field, the example display in the modal updates in real-time to show you how your profile will appear to borrowers. When finished, click "Save & Continue" to save your information to both your Account Settings User Profile and Pathways Home settings, ensuring consistency across the entire MMI system. You can also click "Skip for Now" to return to the Info Modal and proceed to Come Home without completing setup.
Note: establishing both your pre-qualification link and website url ensures that information is present when past borrowers or prospects are exploring both Come Home and Property Pages created through Pathways Home (past-borrower engagement tool).
Sharing Your Home Search
Home Search offers two flexible sharing options to meet different outreach needs: personalized magic links for one-on-one engagement and a public shareable link for broad marketing.
Personalized Magic Links provide a frictionless sharing mechanism where you send a unique link via text message or email by simply entering a borrower's basic information. Each magic link is unique per borrower and includes temporary authentication that automatically logs them in without requiring any account creation or password setup.
Public Home Search Link allows you to generate a single, shareable URL with a custom suffix (e.g., pathwayshome.com/DanLawrence) that can be posted on social media, added to your website, included in email signatures, or shared broadly across marketing channels. This public link maintains your LO branding and pre-qualification information but does not include authentication tokens, preventing tracking conflicts when shared with multiple people.
Let's explore the two options.
- To share a Personalized Magic Link, enter the borrower's mobile phone number (required) and first name (required) optionally add their last name and email for personalization.
Note: to send email, you must provide the borrower's email.
Click "Send Text" to generate a unique link and open your device's native SMS tool (such as Messages on iOS or Android) with a pre-populated message:
"Hey [First Name], here's your personal home search link - browse homes privately without having to register: https://pathways.comehome.com."
You can then send the text directly from your messaging app. This magic link includes a temporary authentication token that allows the borrower to access your personalized Come Home page without manual login.
If you prefer to send an email, click "Send Email" to open the default email client and populate the necessary fields in the email such as Send To, Subject Line, and the Body.
The email Subject Line reads: "Your Personal Home Search Link" and the Body includes the same copy as the text message.
Note: the custom link generated by clicking "Send Text" or "Send Email" is designed for one prospect only, sharing or forwarding it to multiple people can potentially interrupt user experience and disrupt user engagement tracking.
- To share the Public Home Search Link, add your custom URL ending to the field at the bottom and click "Claim."
Note: the system creates Public Home Search Link on a first-come-first-served basis. If your ending is already claimed, try adding an underscore (_) or number sequence (84), to the URL
Once claimed, this public link can be added to LinkedIn or social media profiles and shared with borrowers in communication. Simply copy to your clipboard by clicking the clipboard icon and paste into the desired field.
Note: the link will be locally saved in the field, so if you close the modal or navigate away, your custom url ending will remain, and you'll be able to copy and paste it at any time.
When a borrower clicks on the link they will be taken to our Pathways Home Search website.
Clicking on any property displays detailed information and photos with your contact details, photo, and active pre-qualification link prominently featured. This ensures interested borrowers can immediately connect with you and start the loan process, keeping them in your ecosystem from their very first property search.
Note: unlike the Personalized Magic Links, borrowers who use your Public Link will have to create a login to start saving properties as favorites.
Saving Your Public Link in Bonzo
Once you've generated a unique public Home Search link in MMI Data Center, you can integrate it into your Bonzo campaigns for automated borrower outreach. This allows you to direct borrowers to your personalized home search experience directly from broadcast messages and campaign automation.
- Click Copy to copy the Public Home Search link to your clipboard
- Nex, log into Bonzo and click Settings > General and scroll down to the Application Feedback and Compliance Resources section. Locate the Public Home Search URL field (located below the survey review link fields). Paste your unique Home Search link into this field and click "Save."
- Once your link is saved in Bonzo settings, you can automatically include it in all your broadcast messages and campaign automation. Open a campaign message for editing and click Show More to expand merge tag options. You'll find the merge tag in the General sub-tab.
- Click to insert the merge tag into your message. The link will automatically populate in all communications sent through this campaign
Home Search transforms loan officers into the primary point of contact for home searches, positioning you ahead of realtors in the buyer journey without requiring any realtor or brokerage relationships. Unlike Zillow or Redfin where borrowers get bombarded with calls from multiple agents after registering, Pathways Home Search offers a spam-free search experience with your name, photo, and contact information displayed on every listing.
The dual sharing approach—personalized magic links for individual engagement tracking and a public branded URL for broad distribution—gives you flexibility to meet prospects wherever they are. Use personalized links for one-on-one outreach at open houses or consultations, and promote your public link (pathwayshome.com/YourName) across social media, websites, and email signatures for market-wide awareness. By providing borrowers with a valuable home search tool while maintaining top-of-mind awareness throughout their journey, Home Search creates warm leads through genuine engagement rather than cold outreach, fundamentally changing how you generate and nurture your pipeline.
