The LO Rank feature in MMI helps you identify top-performing loan originators (LOs) based on volume, transaction type, and geography. This tool simplifies the process of targeting the right LOs for recruitment, partnerships, or outreach by allowing you to apply multiple filters and review activity within a specific market. LO Rank is one of MMI’s most frequently used tools because it provides an easy, structured way to surface qualified LOs that meet your exact criteria.
Get Started with LO Rank
Navigate and click to expand the Mortgage dropdown in navigation sidebar. Then select "Loan Officers."
You'll be presented with standard search options that allow you to query by Last Name and State, NMLS ID, Office Location, and Bank or Credit Union Officers by State. Click on the tab at the top labelled "Advanced Searches."
You will reveal additional search options including LO by LTV Rank and LO Rank by County/City/Volume/Zip.
Using these fields, establish your criteria. For timeframe a common example is a 14-month window, however you can also choose to narrow the timeframe to 7 months.
Location filter will filter your results based on "Transaction" or by "LO Office Location." Office Location is similar to Lender Office, as the results will be limited to LOs in an office within the designated area. This means you'll won't get any out-of-state or out-of-country office results.
Once your choose the "State" you can further narrow the selection by "County" or "Zip."
When "County" or "Zip" are selected, additional fields become available to help you narrow your search parameters such as "Minimum" and "Max" volume.
Advanced filters include: "Min Transaction Count," "Bank/CU Officers," "Purchase % Greater Than," "Refi % Greater Than," and "Transaction Types." These fields are not required to begin your search.
When all the necessary fields are populated, click the search button at the bottom.
The results will show LOs who meet your criteria, with columns displaying their volume and transaction count within the selected county, as well as their total volume and transaction count across all counties.

Review the address of each LO’s office to confirm they’re located in or near the county of interest—especially helpful when targeting local LOs.
Click on any LO’s name to view their full Fast Facts profile or push them directly into your connected CRM by clicking on the box and arrow icon.
- Finally, click on "Save Search" at the top, name or edit the criteria in the "Title" box, and hit "Save" to log this search for easy recurring access.

- Office: Office address makes finding local LOs easy to spot.
- Filter Sum / Filter Count: Displays the volume and number of transactions that the LO is doing within the county and the criteria that you have selected.
- Total Sum / Total County: This represents the total business they are doing overall.
